My Earth Letter To The President of the United States

Dear Mr. Obama,

Hello my name is Noe Hernandez I am writing this letter to help convince you to help stop the oil spill in the Gulf. My English teacher is always showing are class all of the videos from the Gulf. He also shows us all the things that they say on the news. I am bugged by everything that he shows us. I always wonder why people don’t do anything about it. I know a lot of people that don’t even know what’s going on right now. If you spoke up maybe everybody would know. You have been an oaky president definitely better than bush. If you fix this big problem then I would consider you a great president. This is a great disaster so far and everybody knows that this can get even worse. My teacher showed me something else on the news that frightened me. He showed us an episode that showed an estimate of where the oil would end up if it couldn’t be contained. It showed the oil going through the coast of Louisiana, Alabama, and Florida. But the oil wouldn’t stop there the scientist said that the oil would make its way up the east coast and spread out into the Atlantic Ocean. After that it would by the end for us. Everything would be contaminated and most wildlife would become instinct. So Mr. President Please help the Gulf and stop the oil spill.

“ Be careful the environment you choose for it will shape you; be careful the friends you choose for you will become like them.”
W. Clement Stone

“Our environmental problems originate in the hubris of imagining ourselves as the central nervous system or the brain of nature. We're not the brain, we are a cancer on nature.”
Dave Foreman

“I think the environment should be put in the category of our national security. Defense of our resources is just as important as defense abroad. Otherwise what is there to defend?”
Robert Redford

“We're in a giant car heading towards a brick wall and everyones arguing over where they're going to sit.”
David Suzuki

“The more we exploit nature, The more our options are reduced, until we have only one: to fight for survival.”
Morris K. Udall

"Mother Nature. She really helped us. I believe She saved us."
Scott Maddox

“Given the damage that just one oil spill could do to a coastal community, it seems to me that undoing the moratorium is just not worth it,”
Frank Pallone

“There is an average of over 500 oil spills a year on Alaskan North Slope, and over 4,000 spills in the last 10 years. Let's not pollute one of the great last refuges of America,”
Maria Cantwell

“Daily air and water pollution, tar balls and oil spill threats would result from oil and gas drilling in the Gulf. There are many cleaner, faster and cheaper solutions to solving our energy challenges.”
Susan Glickman

"The sun, the moon and the stars would have disappeared long ago... had they happened to be within the reach of predatory human hands."
 ~Havelock Ellis

These are all environmental quotes you should really think about these and how true they are. The very first quote that I put up is the one that should affect you. If you don’t fix this problem on time then you will let down not only the American people but the whole world. So please Mr. Obama try and fix this problem with all you got and save Humanity

Sincerely,
Noe Hernandez
